The Garden Atrium is the biggest addition to Chelsea Sun Inn since the 2025 restoration: a translucent reception space with glass walls and glass doors, chandeliers, greenery and warm lighting, seating up to 300 guests. It opens in spring 2027, and because it's glass on every side, the views do the decorating.
What the Garden Atrium is
Think of it as a reception hall you can see straight through. The walls and doors are glass, so the room stays bright through the afternoon and glows at night. Chandeliers hang over the tables, and greenery and lighting run through the space. Open the doors and the room spills onto the estate; close them and you still have the view.

What you see from inside
The Atrium was placed so every wall faces something worth looking at:
- The mountain view, with the wishing well, the lake and its fountain in front of it.
- The forest along the edge of the 200 acres, which turns gold and red in the fall.
- The 1811 stone mansion, its stonework and turret lit up after dark.
- The pool and the hot tub, where the party tends to end up later in the night.
For photographers, that means natural light all day and a background in every direction, without leaving the room.
Why it matters for your wedding
More room. Up to 300 guests can sit down to dinner under one glass roof. Before, a guest list that size meant the tent.
More luxury. Chandeliers and glass read as a ballroom, while the estate around you still feels like a private home, not a banquet hall.
Indoors and outdoors at once. You get the view of an outdoor wedding with the comfort of being inside. If the afternoon turns cool or the sky clouds over, the party doesn't have to move.
Still one wedding at a time. Like the rest of Chelsea Sun Inn, the Atrium belongs to one couple on a given day. There's no second wedding in the next room.
What it costs
For now, the Garden Atrium comes with your venue package at no extra cost. That won't last: demand is high, dates are limited, and pricing will go up. Today, a 100-guest peak Saturday is $26,862 all-in with The Wedding package and $30,462 with the Wedding + Estate Stay, tax and gratuity included. Venue packages start at $7,196 for a peak Monday through Thursday. How it fits the rest of the day
Say your vows at one of the five ceremony sites, from the mountaintop to the wishing well. Cocktail hour runs on the lawns, then everyone walks into the Atrium for dinner. When the dancing winds down, the pool, the 20-person heated jacuzzi and the fire pit are a few steps away. Garden Atrium questions
When does the Garden Atrium open? Spring 2027. We're booking 2027 and 2028 dates now. Ask us which dates include the Atrium.
How many guests does it hold? Up to 300 seated.
Can I use it for a winter wedding? No. The Atrium is a spring-through-fall space. Winter and off-peak weddings use the mansion's indoor rooms, which hold 75 to 100 guests.
Is there an extra fee? Not right now. The Atrium is included with your package, but prices are going up as dates fill.
Is the photo real? It's a rendering. The finished Atrium will look similar. Book a tour to see where it's going and what the views are.
